Child Custody and Visitation Rights Lawyer

Whether you were never married or are no longer married to your children's other parent, you remain a parent to your children forever. The child custody and visitation attorneys of Mast Schulz Mast Johnson & Wells, P.A. can help you protect your rights as a parent. To discuss your concerns about child custody and visitation, please contact our law firm today.

Our attorneys have more than 45 years of experience establishing, modifying, and enforcing fair child custody and visitation arrangements. The best interest of the child is served when both parents can maintain an ongoing relationship with their child and when a child receives the emotional and financial support of both parents.

Legal vs. Physical Custody

In many cases, parents agree to share legal custody of their children. Both parents are involved in making important childrearing decisions such as those involving education, healthcare, and religion. In some cases parents share physical custody and children spend half their time with one parent and half with the other. In other cases, one parent has primary physical custody of the children while the other has visitation rights.

If you believe your children are not safe with their custodial parent we can pursue sole custody of the children on your behalf. We have pursued child custody not only for parents, but for grandparents and other relatives.

At Mast Schulz Mast Johnson & Wells, we help you work toward a parenting plan that works for you and your children. We are effective negotiators who know how to build consensus and craft an amicable agreement. If an amicable agreement cannot be reached, we are experienced in taking child custody and visitation matters to court.

We have been working for families since 1962. Please contact our North Carolina child custody and visitation lawyers to put our experience to work for you.
